10x10x10

Our second spatial design project was focusing on scale and dimensions. We were asked to interpret the idea of 10x10x10 in our own individual ways. We could see it as a sum, a volume, a collection of different objects etc. At college we developed our ideas by looking at scale, materials and photography.

Scale Day
In the morning we thought about 10x10x10 in a smaller and medium scales- cm, mm,feet, metres. Here are some of the experiments me and my group tried out.

In the afternoon we started to think about 10x10x10 on a larger scale. Lucinda and me took 10 stops on the tube through south ken and up to oxford circus. We then took the 88 bus 10 stops back to vauxhall bridge. Later I marked out our route on the tube map and then on the a to z to compare the way the geographical propotions change between the two.

Materials Day

On tuesday we did 10 material samples.

On our study day we were asked to record different actions like to sit, to eat or to lean. I looked at to carry . I wanted to focus on the body being carried around aswell as the different ways people hold and carry objects around.
